AYAHUASCA RETREATS

We founded Amazon Healing Center with the goal of bringing traditional Peruvian plant medicine to individuals who may benefit from it. We also pledged to conserve, safeguard, and nurture the Amazon rainforest, which we call home, for future generations to enjoy and cherish.
Quantity is not a factor in our Ayahuasca retreats. We’re not big on heroic dosages or human-filled malokas. Our objective is to provide excellence, reverence, respect, and commitment to these old plant friends and their Shamanic caretakers’ long-nurtured wisdom.
We’ve put in many hours and effort to create a retreat facility that is not only secure and pleasant, but also attractive. We grow and prepare our own medication on the land we live on. You’ll know where it came from and what went into it this way. We gather wood with care and respect for our constructions. We also support and care for our employees, treating them as family.
Our ayahuasca retreat was created in collaboration with native Peruvian shamans, known as curanderos, who can guide you on your spiritual journey using the traditional usage of ayahuasca and other medicinal herbs. We provide a secure, pleasant, and comfortable atmosphere for a successful process of individual cleanliness and spiritual change, and we recommend staying for at least 7 days.
You’ll be accompanied by genuine indigenous healers who will assist you on your trip and help you overcome your health and life difficulties in ways other than ayahuasca healing rituals. Curanderismo, or the understanding of plant spiritual healing, is one of the world’s oldest medicinal traditions, and it may help us reclaim our lives’ balance.
During the stay, a guide will act as a translator during the dialogue with the shaman and will assist in preparing the participants for the ceremony and guiding them through what can be a very powerful experience.
The participants will get all they need for their adventure over the next several days, including ayahuasca healing ceremonies and other medicinal plants, cleansing and healing plant bathing, and counseling. The guide will explain the healing process to the participants in a way that they can comprehend, which may assist them in incorporating new values into their lives.

Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca, also known as Banisteriopsis caapi, is a liana that some herbal medical plant physicians consider to be their “master plant par excellence.” The shamans appear to have a long history of working with this plant, and their connection is founded on love and deep understanding.

Ayahuasca is combined with another plant, the Chacruna, also known as Psychotria viridiris, to create a drink known as “chicha.” This drink can help you clear your physical and energetic body, meditate, regulate your energy, and awaken your intuition.

The liana is called as “death’s liana” in a local dialect. The liana is ” huasca ” and the death is ” aya ” in Quechua, and these two words combine to form the name ” Ayahuasca “.

The Chacruna, the liana’s mother, is a female spirit that teaches shamans the origins of ailments as well as which plants may be used to treat them. Chacruna has visions as well.

If the master plants are handled appropriately in accordance with Amazon tradition, they can inspire knowledge about their therapeutic capabilities as well as the healing properties of other plants through visions and intuitions.

They also provide us an introspective view of ourselves because of their inner qualities, and these visions might help us disclose the main essence of our own lives. As a result, they can assist us in interpreting events and behaviors that have shaped our lives.

Working with Ayahuasca is divided into two categories. Ayahuasca has the ability to cleanse the body of physical pollutants, as well as the mind and soul of emotional and spiritual disorders that have collected over a lifetime.

Ayahuasca amarilla (“yellow Ayahuasca”) is the most often used, followed by Ayahuasca negra (“black Ayahuasca”), Ayahuasca shushupe (according to the snake shushupe), and Ayahuasca dulce or cielo (“sweet Ayahuasca”)

Ayahuasca Ceremony

Ayahuasca ceremonies vary. Because we are not all the same, everyone has a unique experience with Ayahuasca. We all have distinct diets and Ayahuasca experiences. There are other factors to consider, including your lifestyle (alcohol, drugs, etc. ), prior trauma, capacity to feel energy, some programs, and mental activity. Ayahusca can identify not only what you require right now, but also what you are capable of achieving and managing.

If your body is clean enough, ayahuasca may be a pleasant experience. It can teach you, open your eyes, show you the past, the future, teach you a number of different rules, teach you about your position here on Earth, and so on.. (according to the actual situation inside everybody). If the body isn’t clean, it manifests itself on a physical level, with vomiting and diarrhea. You are not seeing any visions (this is normal; there is no need to be concerned).

You can also have visions, in which you can see what is wrong inside you and what needs to be cleansed; it may bring our troubles from inside to the surface, allowing us to feel and comprehend them again, as well as clean and release them. Ayahuasce may clear all of your blockages and toxins, cure you, instruct you, and cleanse you; it can determine all of your genuine requirements and priorities.

Ayahusca is not used to have random experiences, but it should be treated with respect and humility. It is the ideal medicine for individuals who are prepared to work on themselves deeply; nevertheless, it is not good medication for tourists or those seeking visions and experiences from these visions (like with drugs); Ayahusca is not a drug, but rather a plant with its own knowledge.

All of the rituals we perform are safe; our shamans oversee and safeguard the whole process, which is critical during spiritual healing. We’re available to assist with all of the ceremonies, as well as when there are unique requirements.

We do not advocate drinking Ayahusca if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or if you are using antidepressants or antibiotics. Also, it is not advised for pregnant women. Please see the section on medical suggestions for further information on this.

DIET AND PREP

It is vital to prepare both the body and the psyche before embarking on a life-changing adventure. Learn about our safety standards and ethics to put your mind at ease. Stick to the food instructions before taking ayahuasca to prepare your body. Create clear and powerful intentions to prepare your mind.

Ayahuasca Mental and Physical Preparation

You must prepare to go through a difficult mental, physical, and spiritual cleansing process before you may converse with plant instructors. The ayahuasca diet’s full potential to promote physical healing and spiritual development requires abstaining from any substance or activity that clouds the mind. Setting an intention is also important for mental alignment toward profound healing.

You must prepare your body in the weeks preceding up to your trip in order to optimize your growth. The quantity of purging required to cleanse the body of undesirable toxins might be reduced by eliminating specific items from your diet. A stringent diet in the weeks leading up to and following the retreat demands discipline; it is not easy to reject tasty meals.

You will, however, be proving your commitment and dedication to the healing process by laying the groundwork for profound body, mind, and spirit restoration. In the weeks following, you must also treat your body with care and respect.

All serious participants are asked to adhere to the following food limitations, which are necessary to safeguard your safety and maximize the therapeutic potential of the plant medicines. If you are concerned that this may be difficult for you, please let us know when you submit your application.

For two weeks, please avoid the following foods and activities:

  • Pork
  • Any type of sexual activity, including masturbation • Alcohol • Marijuana (Four weeks of abstinence is recommened)
  • All illegal drugs (cocaine, MDMA, amphetamines, etc.)
  • Spicy dishes
  • Ice, ice cream, or icy beverages

In addition to the foods listed above, please refrain from eating these for one week:

  • Sugars refined
  • Salt and pepper • Red meat • Junk food of any type (if you must use salt, use it very sparingly)
  • Oils (if you must use oil, use olive or coconut oil very sparingly)
  • Fats from animals (lard, etc.)
  • Dairy products • Carbonated and fermented beverages (including diet sodas, energy drinks, non-alcoholic beer, and Kombucha)
  • Caffeine and other stimulants • Fermented foods (kimchi, sauerkraut, vinegar, kefir, pickles, yoghurt)

Tyramine is found in abundance in pork, red meat, fermented foods, yogurt, and alcohol. Because ayahuasca is an MAO inhibitor, it prevents the monoamine oxidase from activating (MAO). This is a necessary enzyme for the breakdown of tyramine; without it, you may get headaches and hypertension, thus avoid these foods.

It is critical to refrain from any sexual activity for two weeks before to the procedure. Masturbation, like sex, is a tremendous energy exchange for the body. It pulls from a critical reservoir that, once full, allows for the deep enchantment and healing that ayahuasca may provide. Antidepressants, such as SSRIs, MAO inhibitors, and sleep drugs, should be avoided for two to six weeks before to your ayahuasca retreat. We will discuss any medical concerns or issues you may have during the application process.

It is crucial to recognize that the body is a vessel in the context of ayahuasca as a medicine. The more physically prepared you are, the more ayahuasca medicine you will be able to receive. We all know how to live a little healthier, and the weeks coming up to pachamama’s visit are the most crucial time to start. Your physical vessel will have a high energetic charge and will be at maximum capacity to allow the plant medicine to work. Following these guidelines to the letter will allow ayahuasca to perform its work more freely and provide you with the best beneficial experience.

A dieta prepares the body for ayahuasca in the same way as asanas prepare the body for meditation in yoga.

In this day and age, our bodies collect an enormous quantity of information through our senses. All of our ideas, emotions, and external stimuli leave a physical impression. We might feel ‘clogged’ or ‘blocked’ when our bodies receive and filter information in our lives over time. The somatic impressions we leave behind can have a significant influence on our health and daily life.

The intrinsic capacity of plant medicines to restore a state of flow to the body, clearing blockages and enabling energy and life to flow more freely, is one of their most attractive features.

A rigorous diet during the week leading up to, during, and following the retreat needs discipline; it is not easy to sacrifice tasty meals. However, by doing so, you will demonstrate your commitment to the healing process and provide the groundwork for profound healing of the body, mind, and soul.

Remember that if the ayahuasca diet is viewed as a test of willpower, the physical act of abstaining and eating is only scratching the surface. Being dissatisfied or whining about the dieta, thinking about sex, or eating one’s favorite foods is also a sign of resolve (or lack thereof).

Pork, alcohol, and sex are typically avoided in an ayahuasca diet. Fresh and prepared vegetables, beans or other legumes, fresh fruits or liquids should make up the majority of your diet. Rice, oats, and other cereals are acceptable carbohydrates. Choose ovile oil or ghee butter for cooking oils, or discover a recipe that doesn’t require them. It’s fine to consume fresh organic eggs or fish in the days leading up to the retreat. On the day of the event, however, no animal products will be ingested.

Your days at our retreat facility will begin about 8 a.m. with a small vegetarian breakfast.

Lunches will primarily be vegetarian, with fresh seafood as an alternative when available.

Dinner is usually served at 7 p.m., and we eat together until quiet hour.

The final meal on ritual days is midday, so you’ll be fasting for at least 5 hours before your ayahuasca rites. Some attendees may choose to fast for the duration of the event.

At the conclusion of the Dieta, Don Joel will reveal the post-dieta requirements. He will frequently encourage you to avoid the following for 5 DAYS:

-No masturbation or sexual activity -Ice, ice cream, or ice-cold liquids

-Dairy -Raw meat and seafood

Pork, alcohol, sex, and other drugs, on the other hand, will take longer than five days, generally a minimum of two weeks.
